Happy New Year

With the two boys growing up together here in US, Rodney and I won't sure if we are able to keep our Chinese New Year traditions here. We didn't have our reunion dinner as we don't have any family here. We thought of doing a simple steamboat, but it seemed too much work with the two boys around - maybe an excuse. We didn't give our boys any Ang Pow - red packets on the Chinese New Year Eve but we gave them today (forgot which actual day to give also), buy any Chinese New Year goodies, or have any Chinese New Year decorations as we didn't really feel any Chinese New Year celebration atmosphere here. I hope as the boys get older, I will try my best to share with them about our Chinese traditions, and hopefully, growing up together here, both our littlehon and His Masterpiece will find meaning in the Chinese culture. Though we don't celebrate Chinese New Year here, we are just glad to have His Masterpiece to join us in time for this new year, and indeed he is our joy and celebration of a new year!
